Update #3: The Watcher
The third update has arrived! Check it out over on Tabletop Simulator.
This is intended to be the final major update; we may do small-scale balance and illustration updates, minor tweaks here and there, but we are not planning to add more leviathans or player card content. We’ll be quite busy preparing for:
Kickstarter launch July 12, 2022
That’s right! Mark your calendars, tell your friends (or teach them the game!), share on social media, discuss the game on BGG, or just give us more feedback! We appreciate anything y’all are willing to do to help us push Leviathan Wilds toward success.
Update #3: The Watcher
The leviathan’s many eyes swept back and forth as it pulled its roiling mass across the foothills.
Change Log
Added the fifth leviathan: “The Watcher” (and its memento). The Watcher uses a special “overlay” card to represent its central eye opening and closing, with some mechanical hooks.
Added climber meeples!
Overhauled visual interface for the map book; spaces are now small “nodes” instead of the square grid.
Note that there are no mechanical changes to the leviathans; just an adjustment to how it is visually represented.
Added “Gadgeteer” class, which uses a unique “charge token” to power up its effects.
Balance tweaking to all leviathans. Everything is slightly (perhaps significantly!) more difficult now.
Updates to interfacing, illustrations, and graphic design to almost every component.
New and updated story cards for all leviathans.
Added rules with actual templating and layout. These are still very much work in progress!
What’s next?
We’re on the final stretch toward our Kickstarter launch, so we’re going to be heavily focused on preparing for the campaign. Still, we’re always available for questions or chat. Drop by the discord channel, leave a comment here or on social media.
Thanks!
