Update #4: The Collector
The fourth update has arrived! Check it out over on Tabletop Simulator.
Along with this, we have a new Kickstarter pre-launch page. It’ll be a while before the launch happens, but having as many followers as possible is incredibly helpful to us, so please do so if you are able/inclined.
The Collector
The Collector represents the culmination of the Leviathan Workshop, which was a live creation and development of a new leviathan during the crowdfunding period. After surveys, pitches, voting, we started working on the Collector on July 19th. After roughly 9 days of development and a few livestreams, Moon Crab Games proudly presented the following:
The One Stop Co-op Shop “world first” on the Collector was a blast to watch. It’s a great showcase of the Collector’s mechanics and a total nail-biter: you can catch the replay here.
Change Log
Added the Collector (we will plan to add its memento in a future update) to Tabletop Simulator.
Added a few more fully-illustrated cards.
What’s next?
Obviously the Kickstarter and its subsequent cancellation were a big challenge for us, but we learned a great deal about what the community wants Leviathan Wilds to be (and especially how we can communicate that).
First step will be to look at any small tweaks to the core mechanisms to really increase the focus on one-off play and boost replay value. Once those adjustments are finished, we’ll update the TTS mod and rules so y’all can see a bit more of the plan. Then, we’ll essentially proceed towards finishing the game’s content.
